The help I need is for two questions.

1.) Is the any kind of reason or setting in IE wouldn’t let you see Avatars? Or could it be a setting on my message board? All of my members see them, but one. And he said it happened after a reinstall of XP.

2.) I use to be able to have my ubb calendar on the front of my webpage. But ever since I moved it to my own web server (NT 2000 Pro) I haven’t been able to get it to work. I tried these tags,”

None of the 3 worked. As a matter of fact I wasn’t able to get the latest threads to work either until I installed the java version. Is there something on my web server I need to get, or install? Any help would be great, and rewarded!

Here is a link to my site, for whom ever to see the code if need be. www.y2killers.com

Thankyou again.

1. If you're using the standard Avatars (not a mod) that user needs to have the JVM installed and java script and java enabled. Also make sure he hasn't disabled display of avatars in his profile.

Does anyone know how I would "turn on" SSI on my server? I have no clue, nor can I find a faq on it for NT2000. I can find all kinds for Apache.

Are you using IIS, then?

When using IIS, you need to call your SSI from a page extension that is mapped to ssinc.dll

The default extensions should be shtml, shtm, and stm.

For example, my home page is default.shtml

But then you also have to go and make sure that your IIS uses default.shtml as a default document.

Man, I'm really bad at explaining this: Try HERE instead

Also, Microsoft actually provides a decent reference HERE

In case anyone is having this same problem, I have found out what the cause is.
I found that if your running Norton Firewall and in your settings for your "Ad Blocking" there are 2 check boxes, dont NOT check the top one labeled, "Turn on Ad Blocking" as seen below.

I personaly did'nt figure it out on my own, my brother did. And since he does'nt post here I thought I would for him, and anyone else that encounters this problem.

Happy Hoildays Everyone!
