If I upgrade to 6.4 from 6.3.1.1, with all of the hacks I have intstalled, do I have to start from scratch?

Install hacks again, etc?

You'll need to rehack all your files, sorry. frown

However you can use Beyond Compare (check the Database for a review, link and tutorial) to rehack the files, and (according to Allen), all your files can be rehacked in around 10 minutes. smile

If that happens do I lose all the the views stats compiled so far? I would hate to lose that!

I looked in the database and did not find the "Beyond Compare"

Am I looking for the right search terms or am I looking in the right place?

BTW, I get a lot of Run Time Errors there and in each individual forum (at the DB that is)

I've never used Beyond Compare but I hear it's very convenient. This might help...Beyond Compare Tutorial by Allen Ayres.

Beyond compare is a great tool, but it has to be used with caution. It will show you the differences between files and folders and there are a couple ways to apply these changes.

I compare the original files from the previous version with the original files from the new version and apply those differences to my existing code. Sometimes this requires creativity to get around the hacks that are already installed but this is not a huge step so it should be pretty smooth.

If there is a better way to use it I'm open to suggestions.
