Is it possible to transfer your forums from one server to another?
If so what would you have to do?
Is it as simple as downloading it from the old server and uploading it to the new server and setting the correct permissions?

Would it matter if the domain name changed also? It isn't clear in that manual.

Nope, doesn't matter, though some old images will break in the posts.

you can search for all instance of your old domain name INSIDE the threads file and replace it with the new one.
same for the member's profile for teh avatar.
to do this I use a text editor like textpad
Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?
