Hi There,
I'm running ubb 6.3.1.1 on nt4. I've been asked to encrypt the board using ssl. This in itself is not a problem, I have the certificate installed and I could change the setting in IIS to require a secure channel.
The problem I have is, there are 1000's of links in documents and the board referring to http and not https. These links will fail using this method.
What I would like is a hack to check the requested url and redirect to https if the protocol is http.
I have equivalent asp code but obviously I need perl.

Could you also tell me where I should place the perl code to achieve this.
Thanks very much
Joe

Where would you put the code, though? ultimatebb.cgi?
UBB.classic: Love it or hate it, it was mine.

Thanks Joe

If you were using apache you could use modrewrite to easily change http requests to https dynamically, maybe see if there is a similar module for IIS ?
I can't afford a good signature editor
