Well, I'm currently in the middle of moving my UBB from one server to the other. Rebuilding forum stats, member stats, post histories and search index works. Clear cache, upgrade UBB and different variables don't - they just time out [don't do anything]. I've CHMOD'ded everything, I believe (stupid FTP server not wanting to use my 23 line Perl script using Net::FTP so making me manually do it :/), and I manually set the new locations in the var files.
Am I doing something stupid, or is this a problem somewhere?

I assume you followed the official move instructions and made a new, verified working install before beginning to copy the data over?

Somehow I managed to misread that bit of the guide... it was late and I was tired :S. Small problem is that I lost the UBB 6.3 zip file a while back (and member area access ran out about... 10 months ago?)  . This doesn't sound good . [I still have the old forum files on the old server, so if there is some way to do it without a fresh zip file that's fine]

Never upgrade and move at the same time, it's just dangerous.
Nuke the install on the new server... start with the vars_ files, scripts, templates, styles, and graphics from the old install. Hitting cp.cgi should bump the board into new-install mode, where you can set the paths. Once you're past that, register a temporary member account, which will be an admin... hit the upgrade button, then do your rebuilds.....
Then log out, replace the Members directory, log in as your standard admin, rebuild forum stats... then you can start uploading your forums...
