Hi there, I want to use the same routines that the $signature field uses for the $customfieldX, so that I can have a custom field with line break formatting and UBB code. I've used Allen's "Add 40 fields" mod and have it working, now I'm trying to work with $customfield9 In ubb_profile, sub edit_my_profile, there's the following:
Which appears to strip out the html break tags and processes UBB Code.
In sub update_profile, the var $sig_html is declared in the local, then processed later $sig_html = $in{signature};
Right at the start of sub update_profile, there's the following:
</pre></div></div>Note, I added the ($key eq 'customfield9') to try and make my mod work...<br><br>I've basically copied the processes that use the var $signature and $sig_html, replacing the appropriate vars (I think) with new vars $CustomProfile9, $CustomProfile9_html. I declared the new vars in the local at the beginning of the subroutine.<br><br>I've gone through it several times and I can't find out why it won't work. I get the $CustomProfile9 to appear on my edit form, but the edited output does not retain the line breaks.<br><br>Here's the copy of the prep sig routines I'm trying:<br><br>
Any feedback would be appreciated!

Followup... It appears that the UBBCode part is working. I just hadn't tested it! (doh). But I'm still not getting html breaks inserted. The following code in ubb_profile claims to convert returns to html breaks.
sub ConvertReturns does not appear to be working on my custom var $CustomProfile9_html as it does on $sig_html.
</pre></div></div>Why, I wonder? Is there another process in line that strips the html breaks before writing to the member file? I thought I nailed that when I added to this:<br><br>
