Trying to figure out how to do the side bar in 6.5 I did a search and found one script and put in the header and the footer, when I put it in, it only showed ABOVE the forum not on the left side... Help anyone? Thanks Stan www.iraqirelief.ca

its a simple html trick. Use a table with two columns and one row, and put the forum into the first cell and sidebar to the second cell like: [/code]for example, forum header:
</pre></div></div>and footer can be like this:<br><br>[code] |

Is this done in the forum? Or in the html page the forum sits in?

You can do this in public_common.pl or in the Control Panel...The latter is the easier option. In your CP go to Primary Settings/Style Templates/Forum Home Style Templates and as Burak pointed out in his example set the first Table set into your "Header" and the second Table set into your "Footer" slots. In each " " tag you can set the width in pixels or percentages. Remember to set your layout to or do so in the Table (e.g., align="center") code, because if you have a fixed width (e.g., 800) for your site it will position left by default.
