I've installed the following hacks (they were working on my test board):
- Mod Wordlets
- Mod CP Addon
- Calendar
- Quick Reply
- Spell Check (currently disabled because of missing LWP, URI, and HTTP modules)
- News Fader

When I try to display any profile (eg, My Profile link), I get the following message:

Since I'm the board administrator and I don't know where to look, I need help!

Hmm...Could be the Calendar or Quick Reply...But I'm thinking the Calendar since it uses "RequireVars". Trial and error. Rehack the "ubb_profile.cgi" portion for each hack one at a time. Try the Calendar first. smile

Very strange. I've rolled back all changes on my main UBB. I have run newstrip.cgi. I'm still getting these errors. This works fine on my test board works fine with or without the hacks.

The error is in a ratings file. Nuke the file mentioned. Alas, the user will become unrated in the process.

I asked for tech support help from Infopop. They're looking at it, so I'll wait to see what they come up with before I nuke any of the user ratings files. It seems to be happening even with unrated users.

Dude, I'm more than tech support, I'm the guy that writes the thing. I know what I speak of. smile The answer I gave above is the answer you'll get, if your board is touched at all... we don't play with hacked boards - too much to go wrong.

Hmm...Life is not always black and white Charles. I've always understood your role with UBB. I'm just sorry you didn't see the humor in my comment.

Charles, I really appreciate all you do to write and support UBB. I have reverted my board back to a base-level 6.5 w/o hacks. The UBB Customer Support group seemed to think that there was something they could do. So far, they haven't come up with anything. Not surprising, given your answer.

I've logged in as users with and without ratings and I get similar error messages. It appears that the user_ratings directory includes a file for each user regardless of whether or not they've been rated, and the contents looks very similar to the contents of the corresponding Members directory file. It's certainly not clear to me what the additional entries in the user_ratings directory file are and how they apply to actual ratings.

Is there someplace where I can find documentation for what should be in those files?

Could you send me a PM with your ticket number, please? I'll poke whoever's in charge with it and see what they've come up with.

IIRC, each file should have a hash with the various ratings the user has received... the hash itself is corrupted in the file mentioned above. While it would be possible to repair the file, it's far easier just to delete it.
