I have birthdays showing up on my calendar just fine, but they won't appear in my member profiles:

See Sample

It's also creating an error on the page. When I researched it, it was this line:

[code][/code]Any ideas why? I figured it was the calendar hack, but LK says that the calendar hack doesn't touch this code...

Judging by the first member profile: http://www.catcherman.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_profile;u=00000001 Somehow the user has submitted an incorrect birthday. Have they tried reentering their birthday and resubmiting their profile?

Yes, resubmitting the profile does not fix the problem.

They have no way of submitting the profile incorrectly. This is happening with multiple users too.

It's not a time problem. The times are appearing just fine. It's a birthdate problem.

ok, I think I know how to fix it. Hop on one foot, spin around, send me a check for $50.

It works for me smile

EDIT: looking around, some have it working and some don't.

I have tried that. I've even logged in as members myself and updated the profile. It's not just this member, it's lots of them... but not all. That's the strange part.

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this.

Have you tried rebuilding your member stat files? I usually find that's a good place to start when something's wrong in profiles, especially since it doesn't seem to be a time problem. smile

Here's what the HTML comes up as on the profile page:

Code
[/code]And this line:

Code
</pre></div></div>Should look more like this shouldn't it?<br><br>[code]
Why wouldn't the javascript have all that data?

Can you show us 00000452.cgi (from Members dir), except for the password which you'll censor? (line 2)

I'm completely unsure of what I'm about to say, but does UBB recognise year values below 1972? It'd be strange to include the 60s if they couldn't be accepted, and really I see no reason why they shouldn't be...

I'm out of ideas on this one, sorry. frown

Well, this one comes up: Born in 1970

But maybe you're onto something. Maybe there's a certain date it can't see past? I'm looking at other profiles now and will reply in a bit.

I'd still like to figure this out. It's definitely a problem with $datestamp somewhere...

Yes, it definitely is the date of birth that is causing the problem. Any date before 1970 causes the error to come up and not display the birthdate properly on the public profile page.

All birthdates show up fine in the Control Panel.

Aye, this is a known problem with the date code... but there is code in there to completely bypass the Javascript time output if the date is prior to 1970. Now, whether that's actually in 6.5.0 or not is unknown... I know it's in 6.6. smile

Oh, so I should bypass the Jscript? There's a mod for that isn't there?

Nope...

Go into ubb_lib_time - look at the DateFormatJSCalc subroutine. Is there a block of code in that subroutine complaining about not thinking about dates prior to 1970 and localtime()?

This is all that is commented in the sub routine for DateFormatJSCalc:

# Yes, I realize that this makes no sense whatsoever.
# It makes no sense on purpose, I assure you.

Okay... go get 6.6.0 from the Member Area and copy over the entirety of DateFormatJSCalc to your 6.5. Problem fixed. smile
