I did maintanence on the forum like rebuilding that stats and clearing the cache and then I did a backup. Now when I go into two of the forums I get this exact message for both. Any idea?

I haven't been able to try anything yet since I'm at work. Just thought maybe someone might have an idea so I know what I'm up against hehe

Ok, I was able to open up the ubb_lib_files.cgi file and look at line 191, but I'm not sure I know why it'd be choking on this.

Can you go to your NonCGIPath/Forum5/ and post all the files and directories it has?

I don't have access to the ftp since I'm at work, but I did a backup of the forum just after I did the maintanence. Here's what I found.

Forum 5
private-FRV8KL --- 1.44mb worth of stuff
forum_5.threads
index.html

I notice that the forum_5.threads file is blank while the one inside the private-FRV8kL folder is full of stuff. That's a busy forum while the forum 21 below isn't.

Forum 21
No folders
000001.cgi - 000006.cgi
000001.stick
forum_21.threads
forum_thread_data_0000.cgi
index.html
lastnumber.file
lastime.file
upgrade.txt

I guess this is good since it seems that all the data is there. I'm guessing it's just referencing it wrong somewhere? Not sure where to look though.

Also I guess I should do a backup BEFORE the maintanence lol

Ok, when I got home and checked the actual FTP those folders ARE missing, but they exist in the backup.

This means sometime between last night and this morning they disappeared? Hmm.

The funny thing is that if I go into my FTP program and try to manually create the missing folders it says

Code
[/code][code]
Yet I don't see them. This doesn't make sense to me.

I spoke with my host and he was unable to see them either. Then after a second look he noticed that the folders were hidden...??

Regardless he was able to delete and recreate the folders, I was able to restore the contents from backup and all is well now.

smile !!!

Thanks LK for the nudge in the right direction!
