In UBB classic 6.3.1.2 I did some changes to the code so that the Buddy and Ignore list directories were renamed from pm_buddy/pm_ignore to something EVEN more descriptive.

Now I have a problem. I can add people to the ignore.buddy lists and UBB says there added, but when I go to my profile and look at the lists, they are empty.

I think there maybe a problem reading the lists files from the disk. Can I be provided with the functions and files where there are references to PATH/FILENAMES that are involvled in the reading of the files..., and also may the writign too...b ut more importantly the READING.

You just need to change the names of ALL the references from the old directories to the new ones...

Just expanded the 'pm' to 'personal_message'.

Any idea WHERE they are (files and function names ?.....)

you ever consider changing the names back to the originals.. opening up notepad.exe, and making README.txt containing this code...

Erm Since things messed up when I changed the names via the search/replace text editor function. The source search string will be unknown for the problem stribgs.

Readme.txt - I'd have readme's here and there and everywhere for all things. Thats why i resort to other approaches.

The actual problem (in relation to your first solution) is WHERE are the references to these strings/paths located ?.
