Hey there!
Got a question, I am trying to use the search option in UBB.classic to search by zip code.
It does not find anything. It will find some words that are in the subject but not by zip.
Any ideas? Maybe just an upgrade?
Any help would be most merry!

Using: UBB.Classic Ver 6.4.1.1
Server: Linux RedHat, Apache Web Server.

Thanks again! smile

And here's another one that I am totally foreign to.
Software error:
'@benches;' is not a valid variable name under strict vars at ultimatebb.cgi line 81
For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([email protected]), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

Happened on both boards I run, I've seen CGI errors before, but it was always my fault, this happened out of the blue.
And yes, I'm sorry that I am using Powweb, trying to get out. frown smash

Any thoughts on either question would be greatly appreciated!

I think I fixed the @benches error by replacing the modules folder under the cgi-bin with the ones in the release code for the latest UBB version. I remember having that error along with a couple others. I'm sure someone else can confirm or deny my fix soon enough.

Thanks for the help.
Unfortunately the modules option didn't work.
I had to renew the license so I moved all the way up to 6.6.1
then it worked. Then my host crashed, network wide...nice... smile

Is it possible that my host upgraded their version of PERL CGI? (they never tell anyone when they do these things)
Perhaps the new version is not downward compliant with older CGI code (like in version 6.4.1.1)
This could explain why both bulletin boards failed simultaneously> (There is no sharing of files between them)
Just a guess...

Well, Thanks again, I'm off to reconfig. .pl's and the like!
