take a look here:

http://forum.nuendo.com/cgi-bin/nuendo.com/Ultimate.cgi

First off are we allowed to modify this at all?

I want to remove the logo from the pages so that I may place it either in the footer content (otherwise it's there twice)

I had also been considering removing it from the pages and not placing it directly in the header, but rather a link in the header that says, "Copyright" and then on a separate page, having the info about the board witha link to Infopop's website. I don't know if that's allowed though.

I definately want to move it from the page to the footer though if nothing else.

The Infopop copyright notice must remain visible, at the bottom of the page, unmodified. This is required by the license agreement, unless you have purcahsed permission to remove it. Please return the wording, if those forums are (also) under your control.

no... those forums aren't mine and I don't know who runs them.

Why can't I move the wording to the footer? It would still be visible at all times, at the bottom of the page. I see no point in having the bottom of the page with the board come before the bottom of the page for the site. That's aesthetically retarded for lack of a better description.

also, Charles, no offense, but for an employee of Infopop, I would expect you'd be a bit more familiar with your own licensing agreement.

"...the copyright and "Powered By" legends at the bottom of each page may not be removed. You may modify the positioning and colors, and/or remove the hyperlink to Infopop's website, as long as the legends remain readily perceptible to the human eye."

I know that Netwerkin used to have the Copyright notice in the bottom-right corner of the page at one point in one of their templates, so I'm imagining that it isn't a problem (unless Infopop have changed the licensing agreement since I last checked).

Of course, I can't speak for Infopop since I am not an employee of them, so don't definitely take my work for it. It's best to wait for another reply from Charles/navaho/Allen. smile

Mark, I fail to see how what I said is incorrect based on the wording of the license.

I want to remove it from the standard placement, and move it to a footer. Therefore, it is still at the bottom of the page, and is readily perceptible by the human eye.

With all due respect Charles, it's fairly black and white. So back to my initial question.. how do I remove the default placement of the "powered by" logo so that I might move it into a footer.

perhaps my understanding of your statement was incorrect, however it seemed you were saying that I may not move the default positioning/properties of it when according to the license, I may indeed do so.

That's all I was pointing out.

Now I still don't know what file to edit that in. frown

I would like to remove it along with my copyright and "contact us" and then place these all in a footer.. making the footer at the bottom of the browser page.
