Hello everyone,

I'm webmaster of a star wars site with a tradition of near 5 years on the net. Since 2000 my site featured the ubb forums and thanks to this site it had a lot of features not included in the original release. My site is hosted in a network dedicated for star wars sites, a free webhosting if you want, but with unlimited space. Since september of the last year they closed my website ubb forums without letting me know it previously, in a day they closed a very united community of near 700 people with over 80.000 postings in three years, according to them, the boards were consumming an important ammount of resourses and they were affecting other websites in the network... but that explanation was given after they closed it. It's almost march 2004 and they don't give us back the ubb forums. They not only destroy this large community with people of all the world, but they don't allow me to use the boards which i paid a license for. They just don't give an answer to solve this problem even when i presented them a lot of alternatives. The people aren't able to access the forums through the browser and i'm not able to access both ubb directories (my ubb is the classic 5.45c) This is a desperately situation, and i feel i cannot do anymore, this go beyond technical issues right now. A lot of time has been passed and i don't have a solution for the people. Most important, they aren't allow me to use the lisense i paid for my website. Please i will apreciate any help you could give me to this hard situation. i really don't now how to go on with all this. Thanks you in advance.

1) Upgrade
2) Find a better host

This is about the same thing I told you when you mentioned your UBB performance problems in the past... wink

Sorry for your loss, To others back it up once a week. At least once a month.

Saved my bacon a time or two. Its not if your going to have a problem its WHEN you going to have a problem.
