Hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum, and pretty new to UBB Admin functions in general. We currently run version 6.1.0.2, and want/need to upgrade. Glad to see that version 6.7 is now GA.

I have 2 questions:

1. Having never done an upgrade before, how hard is it? From what I've seen on this site, it appears that I simply download the upgrade files, unzip them, and the click the "upgrade" button on the control panel. Is it really this easy?

2. Since there are so many new features that will be implemented in going from 6.1.0.2 to 6.7, I want to make sure that I've set all the defaults and customization before the user community gets their hands on it. Is it safe to assume that all the new features are "off" by default, and that I'd need to turn them on? I guess I don't want to upgrade and suddenly have the user community up in arms that things look so different.

It's pretty much that easy.. Charles has made it so even I can do an upgrade

Most features will be off, unless they are deemed pretty 'essential' such as flood protection. 6.7 has a tab that you can adjust most all features from down one list
