I ported this from Shout Box, maybe some one will give me some directions. My Shoutbox was working great for almost a year. Recently I upgraded from Win Me to XP and cant delete any shouts! it tells me : "no permission" and that applies to everybody not only me the admin. I turned everything upside down looking for what is wrong, even in the browser and the windows log in settings - I am the admin for both. Strange thing is that it works fine at work on the WinNT server and I am a just a user on the company server (City of Toronto) but not at home on my own computer! Does anybody know what to check? thank you in advance. http://romanianational.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi login-test pass-test if needed.

No Allen, I pay for hosting at HostedToday on an Unix server, WinXP is only my PC's OS.

You've got some javascript issues with your browser. Try another browser on that computer and see if it works. I use XP at work and have had no problems

I have XP here; I can delete from ubbdev's shoutbox just fine lol...

Gizzy, I found out from different members,,,it is not only me..nobody can delete any shouts! so, it has to be somewhere in the scripts...

Felix, upload a fresh copy of the shoutbox and see if you can delete from it

did that as well, I also reinstalled windowsXP on a new drive, brand new computer, same thing! Isn't it weird?
what could it be?
Gizzy? what are your Java settings in your XP?
You said you have no trouble at all deleting? It has to be something about this windows because at work, on NT, I can delete everything.
Anybody else running XP Pro and can delete from the Shoutbox?

Um, I can delete from my shoutbox as an admin and if im logged in as a regular user..
