Is there any way to make a thread private? We want to make a Christmas card list, but make it available only to registered members.

How would you want a private thread to work? You could put it in a private forum or a private message...

The idea was to make a thread that only registered users could view. I think I'm going to have to make a new forun, make it viewable only to registered members.

If it where a full forum you could install the "Postcount Restricted Forums" mod and set the restriction to 1 post; then only "active" users can enter...

hmmm... that might be cool - they could see the title, but when they click on it it would tell them to register/log-in first - it may be easier if you set announcements like that, since an if/then statement is already there for announcements, all you'd need then was an added login statement... I think
