Most busy sites have forums and threads (at least a few) with many many pages... we really need a modification that will make the links more manageable. Right now we have something like this: Page: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 etc etc We need something similar to: Page: << < 1 2 3 > >> or Page: << < 1 2 3 ... 14 15 > >> Many forum scripts and other perl scripts have something like this.. it's time for us. Any idea where to start?

Those would be much nicer and not ruin layouts if we used some type of pagination like in the first post:
Page: << < 1 2 3 ... 44 45 46 > >>
The double arrows would bring you the beginning or the end and the single arrow would bring you to the prev or next page. Would apply to super long threads and very busy forums.

that's all there is to it? We've talked about this very thing on the beta-testing board for a while now and never made any headways... I'll give it a shot on our test board and see if we break something Does this also work for the forums that have many pages? Some sites might get a couple hundred new threads easily per week in each forum and the pages really stack up...

Jordo, I installed, and it shows 0 and 1. But they are the same thing. I am trying to figure it out. I think it's this line: $TopicPageTotal .= qq( << ); my $prev_page = $page_number - 1; $TopicPageTotal .= qq( < );
