I've noticed many ubb using boards has turned out to be using VBullettin recently. Still Ubb hasn't got whos online , hitcounter and many more features that vbb has on installation. Ubb users has to hunt down hacks and spend their precious time adapting these hacks... I think UBB has lost the war against VBB ..That is my personal point of view. if ubb does not improve, will loose many more users in following days.

Obviously you have not visited IP lately and seen what is instore for the next set of releases of UBB. It is all coming and then some.

I like hacking my board it makes me feel like i am doing something for the members and it has made me want to learn cgi, php etc.

VBB is not a patch on UBB... ok it might have few more features but when it comes to security for the members and your info VBB cannot touch UBB and also it looks cheaply made, it does not have the feel of UBB.

and also i dont have lots of money and i have a part time job but i decided against VBB (and its cheaper) and to go for UBB because.... VBB SUCKS !!!

I feel the same way @ henry!
It makes you feel proud if you can look at your board with many hacks installed and if your members like your board they'll show you.

That is how it works for me!

vb only has the advantage, because it's in a much easier code, php (I think)
