Is there any way a hack can be created (or code changed) so that if a post is deleted, a blank post appears saying something like, "Post deleted at the request of ..."
Or maybe, "Post deleted for content"--kinda like what happens when someone edits a post, and you can enable the feature that says, "Edited by ..."
I ask because I had a situation at my board where someone reacted negatively to a post; she then went in and deleted her message, and because I don't let members delete posts, left it blank. Her buddy--a moderator--then went in and deleted the post.
Unfortunately, this became a big issue because someone reacted to what she had seen in the since deleted post--and was pretty much left hanging in the wind.
I didn't find out about it until well after the fact. I then told my moderators that if they need to delete a post, they shouldn't do it per se--but leave a message something like, "Post removed at the request of ..."
Does this make sense?
I didn't forsee something like this happening, and the moderator doesn't see the problem that I have with it (she's no longer moderating

), but I'd like to prevent this from happening in the future.
Thanks!
