I don't know if this is possible or not, with UBB. One of my moderators wants to be able to send images from his C: drive to the server to post on the site.
I'm thinking of telling him it would be easier to get some free webspace online and link to that instead... only thing is, who provides free webspace online that the user can link to?

Attachement hack is mostly used for that.

Most ISPs provide some free web space that users can link to.
I also chose not to install the attachment or upload hacks as I didn't want to "waste" my web space with other people's rubbish.
If the attachment is of value then I FTP the files to a /forum_images directory and give them the [IMG] tags in return.

Well if you set your limits on file sizes and whats allowed it can limit that rubbish.
