I hear alot about this now, my computer is on 24/7, if it doesn't effect what I am doing, and I can't notice whatever you guys have to run I will join you...what exactly is this?

How to join:

1)Go to UD Site and download the UD manager.

2)Install it onto your computer and register onto UD. (You can register the first time you run the program off your computer)

3)You should now recieve a work unit from the UD server.

4)Go to Team UBBDEV link at the top of the topic list in this forum and join it up by putting in your user name and pass.

And your done.

Do you guys notice a system difference, does it effect your systems at all? ... I really rather not slow my computer down

Doesn't do a single thing to your comp. There is just the blue icon in your start bar where you cam view how much % is done.

Okay, got 174 points in 8 hours since I joined...that good or bad?

And I got a 113/100 on my overall computer performance

Yeah thats pretty good, and since you leave your comp on 24/7 you'll get alot of points and fast!

Though "NSA" was taken so I used "NSA_88"

I guess I'll just take this opportunity to say that I've joined the team. I'm just a lurker at these boards (as you can no doubt tell), but I figured if I was going to join this, I should join the team that made me aware of the project to begin with. I have 3 computers hooked up 24/7 cranking away at the program. Quite a sweep in performance differences though (1Ghz down to a measly 200Mhz). Not that it really matters because every last bit counts (and helps).

If members are returning results, and I can find them in the member database, I give them their avatar regardless of their post count. You never know when a member, albeit a lurker, might jump in and post.

It was EASY...thanks to the notes on the first page!!!! I was a little confused trying to stumble around the UD site, and the Members area.....then I read page one and it was all clear. Now I have to figure out if my numbers are on target!!!

Alright, I just got my ADSL connection up and want to join. But one question, ive got a certain download limit or something like that. Will this use up any of it, what exactly does it do?

If pumpkin has already gone, who not choose
-pumpkin- or similar, that way, Debs can easily recognise you.

Otherwise apart from saying on here, there is no direct way to ink you afaik.
