Some of you may have heard about Distributed.net. They are running 2 (or 3) projects right now. One is cracking a RC5 key, and the other(s) are OGR (24 and) 25.

I recently read about this guy who installed the distributed.net client on the computers at his school. About a year later, the school found out about it, and had a cow. They wouldn't have been as mad, but the computers were cracking the RC5 key, and there was prize money for the person who cracked the key.

Anyways, all you people at school, you better get permission to run this, otherwise, they may get you. They may not care, but if I were in that situation, I would check. Sure, there's no money on the line, but it doesn't matter.

Wise advice AtOMiC Nebula and thanks for the link! I've recommended that everyone ask for permission since this idea was suggested. It's a great cause but... if you don't own the computer please get permission before installing the UD device.

Right on guys. If you don't own the physical machine that the program will be installed on, you'd better ask.
