I started up a new dual proc server and loaded the client and BLAM, no connection to the login server.

Seem to be that the new agent is poorly. Here the statment from UD quote:
The upgrade of the UD Agent this past week has introduced a problem that we are currently working to resolve. Until the problem is fixed you will experience significant delays when your Agent attempts to connect to the server.
This is not a band-width problem, we have more than enough. This is not a server quantity problem, again we have more than we need for this project. This is a problem with the program that manages the transactions between the servers and the database. It is taking substantially longer to complete even a simple transaction such as returning a result and getting a new work unit.
When will this be resolved? As quickly as possible, fixing this is our top priority. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we appreciate your continued patience and support.

Thanks for the news, Zerit2k  I hope it does get fixed quickly.. I was just about to post something about server downtime. I can connect VERY infrequently (perhaps once a day), but that usually isn't enough for me. I hope the problem gets fixed soon.

I returned a result, or tried to but my downloading of the next Work unit froze.

I just got my cable modem installed in my new apartment so i am not sure how many work units this beast has sent back.. I know that at first it couldn't connect.

Well It should be working fine now. A few new enhancements to the UD agent. But I lost the WU points I was trying to send in.
