Yeah, so that pretty much causes the point to be nullified...

Think of the search engines as a non logged in user. Where that user can go on your boards is where the spiders will index.

So what about the problem I'm having with the accelerator turned on. You said to redo the ultimatebb.php file but I have double checked it. Would you like me to e-mail it you to and you double check it?

It still wouldn't work. Its a problem with iis. It doesnt take the slashes and make them env vars. So that the script can parse them out. It tries to turn it all into directories.

In that case, I'd then recommend upgrading to 6.7 and using the Compatability Mode, and hoping that it works.
That or finding a nice, happy, Unix machine. Or switching to Apache.
(All UBB.classic development takes place under Win32/Apache.)

Im using a windows based control panel so that I can manage my server even when Im not at home and it runs on windows/iis. I just have to figure out how to get that command to work. I will look for some tutorial latter and see about getting it done.

Brett made me a "current" version of the original spider addon for the UBB by Micah, it's only compatable with apache however (I hate IIS so it works for me).

I seem to be getting a - Unrecognized character xAE at ultimatebb.cgi line 661.
and the same error in the Cpanel PRimary settings section. Any idea how to solve this?
Unrecognized character xA0 at /home/sttau/public_html/community/cgi-bin/ubb_lib_posting.cgi line 698.

Hello Spence!
Thank you for the quick response my friend.
I have pretty much redone the hack 3 times and the problem persists. Are you sure it was a miss replacement?
My best regards.

I fixed that error in another person's board a week or so ago. If this hack is important to you, you could hire someone to install it. Anyone at all. Yes, even me . What you have is an invalid character which the other person added accidently during a replace, so you might have done the same.

ooh, it could be pretty much anything. If you don't mind giving me the ftp info, I could check for you later today. It actually probably has nothing to do with this hack
