Modification Name: Minimize Categories Author(s): Weird Al Description: Allows users to minimize a category, so that forums will only be show on the Category's page, and not the main summry. Demo: http://www.alforadmin.com Requirements: UBB.classic 6.6.x+ Download Link: https://www.ubbdev.com/ubb/upload/00020028/MinimizedCategories6.6.txt Credits: Charles did all the hard work, I just added CP support. Instructions / Other Info: Go to the category page in the control panel. There will be a new column of checkboxes. Checked means minimize the category, uncheck means show the forums. Clicking submit will automatically clear the summary cache

How hard would it be to have a button on each category bar that would allow logged in members to "window-shade" individual categorys?

very... that'll require nesting tables, css, and javascript.  I want it too, but that's a hack I'd only try during a long time off, ie. Christmas, which is full of other hacks etc I gotta do
