Hi!
I thought i'd mention this... there's no bug in wwwthreads as far as I know.. no specific problem with the way you're supposed to set it up... but since I had this issue.. i'll warn others as it might be relevant.
I installed wwwthreads by untarring the tarball and deleting the wwwthreads dir within it (if you noticed... there was an exact copy of the main dir in a subdir).. I didn't find (was I tired?) any mention in the docs.. and my demo version worked fine.
My setup allowed cgi scripts to be run form the directory in which wwwthreads was installed (no separate cgi-bin).. and everything worked.
One thing that slightly worried me... when I found out I could load w3tvars.pm in my web browser and see the full config (with SQL username and password). I have corrected the problem.. but I thought you people may wish to be aware of this when installing. I did check around five of the installations from this support board to some of the more famous companies running w3t.. and none seem to have this problem.. that's why i'm posting this public.. for information (and not as a bug to the author.. which it's not!)
Sebastien.
