I found the below page pretty interesting. Always nice to see Scream and W3T talked about in a nice light, especially when being compared to the competition :-)

Scream,

I meant to post this to the General Comments board, and accidentally did it here instead. So I tried deleting it and planned on reposting it to the other board... but when I went through the deletion process, I was stopped on the final screen by a "NO_EDIT" error message. Is this a new bug caused by the "Mark as edited" toggle?

Did this happen when you clicked on the edit post button, or after clicking on the Delete this post button?

I went through the usual process to delete a post:
Clicked edit post -> Clicked "Delete this post" -> Clicked again on the "Are you sure?" page -> Stopped by NO_EDIT error

I tried 3 more times on the test board, but I'm getting the same results. dbridges on the other hand, seems to be having no problems. I can't figure this one out...

Heh... they deleted it of course, as I knew they would.

Too bad I saved a backup copy though ;-) [For anyone curious, see attachment]

The formatting for the original attachment came as plain text and is hard to read, you can see the most relevant message below though. Just to give it some context, some members of the UBB board discovered that the names of competitiors were being censored there.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's ridiculous that the names of competitors are censored here. That's infantile
behavior in my opinion.

I'm sure this post will be removed as well. Obviously, it's not on topic, but seeing as I first
became aware of the censorship in this thread, it seems the appropriate place to say
something about it.

By the way, if you want a REAL forum, try WWW-Threads. The only real requirement is MySQL
and that's pretty standard on most webservers these days. It's faster, has more options, and
an unbelievably responsive and helpul author--"Scream" (Rick Baker). The code is beautifully
written and very easily customizable. As an added bonus, I can guarantee no Nazi-like
censorship tactics over on their boards. Scream's too much of a professional to stoop that
low. I'm sure he'd be very willing to openly discuss any other board software. With his product,
he has no reason to be afraid of competitors, so he won't try and hide information about them.

And yes, that whole last section was thrown in there as a little shot at UBB/Infopop because
of my newfound discust with their practices, but it's 100% true.
