The php version seems to be 100% faster than the perl one. Is that possible?
The php version is running on a G3 Macintpsh 400 Mhz. SuSE linux 7.0, PPc Edition (the very last release). Persistent connections = ON.
The perl version is running on a G4 Macintosh 400 Mhz. Mac OS X Server. No mod_perl.
(N.B. The G4 is, at least, two times faster than the G3)

yes the perl one seems to load everything faster than the perl version. Here and on my forums. i wonder how you could test it.
