How can I alter the tables in Perl Version 5.0.4 so that I can use them in Php Version 5.1.4?
Thanks, Tommy

You would need to download the latest PERL version and run the altertables to get your PERL database to the latest format. Once this is done, then you could switch over to the PHP version.

Scream,
I have tried this 5 times and I get the same thing everytime using Perl www threads 5.0.4 database and applying altertable: altertable-5.0.9.-5.1-pro.pl.
I get the following error after running altertable from my browser (have to use browser; I am on Iserver)
Altering the posts table to store the Username that the post is in reply to... Updating old posts... Creating table w3t_AddressBook... Dropping the old polls table... Content-type: text/html System Error: DBD::mysql::db do failed: Unknown table 'w3t_Polls' at /usr/local/etc/httpd/cgi-bin/wwwthreads/private/altertable-5.0.9-5.1-pro.pl line 119. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Then I get these errors and a bunch of other similar errors when I run the database in 5.1.4 Php:
Seeya! Unknown column 'U_TimeOffset' in 'field list': 1054 Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/healers/wwwthreads/mysql.inc.php on line 71 Seeya! Unknown column 'U_StyleSheet' in 'field list': 1054 Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/healers/wwwthreads/mysql.inc.php on line 71
----------------------------------------------------------------------- Do I need to use other altertables or just the latest. I have one additional table in my database, but this shouldn't cause these errors, should it?
Thanks much for your help!

You will need to run several altertables to upgrade from your version. Here they are, in order:
altertable-5.0.4-5.0.5-pro.pl altertable-5.0.8-5.0.9-pro.pl altertable-5.0.9-5.1-pro.pl altertable-5.1.-5.1.2.pl
