Maybe I am missing something about the user groups, I dont use them and hardly see why would I.
The only reason I see to use a usegroup is to keep a category private for very specific users, for example, the site developers.
I would user usergroups more widely if when accesing from certain place to a specific category or combination of categories (ex. ?Cat=5,6) users would be automatically added, when they register, to the usergroup for those categories. But as far as I can tell the only way to add users to usergroups is manually, that is, the admin or moderator must do it, right? Quite complicated if you have many user sign ups per day +making them wait...
Or am I missing something? Am I missunderstanding something about usergroups?
