I'm very much aware of the stylesheets directory and have been customizing away. However, when I go into a forum and look, administrators are shown in red. Which file specifies the colors of the people who post? Thanks!

if you go into the show profil screen for the user that you want to change the color for and click on edit this user you will be able to change the post color of the user.

What you're talking about is selecting a style sheet that displays all the colors. I've customized my own, but I cannot find the parameter that specifies the colors. Admins appear in red, and I can't seem to find where to change it, i.e. in which specific file. Thanks.

you will be able to change the post color of the user. If you want to change the color of your own posts you can go to your profile screen. Where it displays your profile. and click on edit this user. on that screen you will find a text field that says Name Color and in it maybe will be #FF0000 change that to the color you want it to be. is that what you are talking about?

Thanks! Since there are a few admins, it's okay to manually do them one by one. I was hoping that there was a default recorded somewhere. If there is and if someone knows, please let me know.

Howdy.

Is there not a php-equivalent of the w3ttheme.pm file in the modules directory for php?

# Default color for admin usernames
$theme{'admincolor'} = '#FF0000';

# Default color for moderator usernames
$theme{'modcolor'} = '#00AA00';

To this, ideally (by the way, this is a request) these would not be defined here but in the stylesheets. That way colors would adapt to the general design no matter what stylesheet users have choosen.

Hi!
The thread is old,
but it's exactly what i need to know now
( and can not find the answer in this thread )

So how do i get rid of red color for administrators ?
Where, in which file is this color stored ?

The best would be if i could let admins and moderators
to have the same color as every registrated user...

Thanks in advance

You can change the colors from the theme settings in the admin area. This only works for when admins and moderators are given their privelieges, so you would manually have to edit all current admins and mods to change their color in their profile.

Thank you, it works

Anyway the strange thing - at the old posts ( made before update etc. )
the name of the same admin user stay red... but not a big deal,
i'm still testing ( still not live yet )

The most cool thing is -
it looks like the color can be set to default
( if the input box is empty, next time you check the value it is "normal"

Yes, in earlier versions of threads the name, color and userstatus was saved with the post and it hasn't been completely removed from all scripts yet. I believe this is going to be fixed in v6.2 when the move to using Usernumber is completed.

If you want to update the color of all old posts you could do the following SQL query on the SQL command page in the admin area:
code:

UPDATE w3t_Posts SET B_Color = '#00FF00'
[/CODE]

You can of course set the color to anything you want, or just leave it empty to have the default color.

As always, do a backup of your database before you change anything.
