Hi all! I would suggest that the navigation cells would have "nowrap" tag so that navigation icons and text would not be on separate lines when you have a narrow screen.

Especially for Netscape 6.0 I would recommend that. All the navigation-icons and text are breaked into two lines.
Also I miss a nowrap in the search-results in the user-name column for (anonymous) users which use "firstname lastname" with a space between!

In these cases, replace any space with a non-breaking one (& nbsp;) (without space before nbsp;) and everything will go fine.

Hi Sharif,
there are absolutely no spaces in the navigation. But NSCP6 breaks up the icon and the text anyway... so we'll need a nowrap.

I have had the same kind of problem with Explorer and the top menu bar. I solved it by putting the items in a table. Maybe the same trick could help in your case.

Oh, no problem at all. Just as I mentioned, after adding the "nowrap" everything works fine. []/testimages/icons/wink.gif[/]

I'll get this added before I release the final 5.4.

I'm with Eileen on this one. I already did it for our icons - it looks much cleaner. Also, can I place my vote for Netscape simply dropping their browser from the face of the planet so us web designers no longer have to deal with that piece of crap? It is the most dysfunctional browser I'd ever dealt with since 4.7 arrived. If you're an a hardened Netscape supporter, my apologies, but designing a web site to support both Netscape and MSIE USED to be easy... it's a royal pain in the arse now because Netscrape fails to conform to standards. >>vote for Netscape simply dropping their browser from the face of the planet Hoo boy, am I ever with you on this one! It's holding back progress too - I'd love to be able to use DHTML but it's suicide in the present climate. Die Netscape, die! [] http://www.wopr.com/w3tuserpics/Eileen-sig.gif[/]

I agree about NS. We are developing a new support/monitoring system at work with some heavy use of javascript. It's going fairly good until we try to get it working under netscape[]/testimages/icons/frown.gif[/]. Luckily it is going to be used internally so we might just tell everyone in the company that it does not support NS so we don't even have to worry about it.

netscape = worst program on the planet. Definately. I have to use about 30% more code when doing anything with tables for it to display properly in netscape. And that's just one of the issues. Anyone ever tried getting netscape to work with a CSS, and adding a style to a table? It not only doesn't render the style properly, it kills off the CSS and then when you scroll your mouse over the table with the style, it scrashes the browser. Fantastic!
