I would like to ad a link "Chat" to all link on hte top of W3T net to "Main Menu" "Search" "FAQ"
How can this be done? Thanks

You'd need to edit main.inc.php. There is a function in this file called send_header. In here you will see where the navigation menu is printed out. It is actually done in 2 places. One for logged in users and one for those who have not. So, if you wanted it to appear for both you will need to add it in both places.

I was looking to do this, but found that things have changed since this was posted. the file to alter is now ubbt.inc.php and I just added the extra links as html after this section:

Wouldn't this be done in the template files? ubbt_unregisterednav.tmpl and ubbt_registerednav.tmpl to be more precise. If you need to set up some sort of variables for these templates then you would edit ubbt.inc.php to do that otherwise simple links can be added to the template files.
