Not sure this is a bug or maybe I just don't know what to set:
For new registered users, I want all user's pictures to appear in their posts as a default.
However under 5.4.3 when I register as a new user, the automatic is for this to come up as "No" as the last item on their preference screen (editpost.php).
In other words, new users have the pictures disappear and they have to hunt around to find it on their profile screens.
Last time I asked that question here, I changed the file I was told to change, but it made no difference. Since an update was out soon I waited. Then waited some more.

This sounds like a bug possibly. I'll get this tracked down for the next release since I will be doing one more minor release due to the fact that there are still some bugs lingering around.

Yes, I, too, look forward to the fix on this one. I'm having the same trouble.
Curiously, this wasn't a problem in 5.4.1. or 5.4.2 . . . (two steps forward, one step backward?)

Has any progress been made on this one yet? I have 5.4.4 and the problem is still there.

This is going to end up require a database alteration for the default. Since I'll be including an altertable for 5.5 will be putting it in there.
