I am having some trouble getting file attachments to work in 5.4.4 on a Win2k server. I have the directory set up to allow read/write by web user, but when I try to upload a file, it does not see to "grab" the file directory & location from the form, as the value is empty... any ideas?

Do you have your php.ini file set to safe_mode? I believe if safe mod is turned on then you can't do file attachments.

Hopefully the file directories are world writable. I've had no problems with the attachments under safe mode in previous versions. But if safe mode is his problem, he may want to try running it in the PHP-binary form, which runs as the users ID and should allow him write access to those directories.

Make sure you have double // in your upload dir path in the php.ini. Example:
C://blah//blah
