Hi,
Could someone please clarify what the wwwthreads license / contract said about support.
What support were we entitled to under the agreement?
Then continuing on from this - as the support is now a chargeable affair (apart from the forums), is this a breach of our agreement?
As far as I can tell Rick did not have a chargeable plan in place, so therefore Infopop cannot charge us for support either.
Am I wrong here with my assumptions.
Not that I need support, but I just want to get the situation clear in my mind just in case.

The license does not mention entitlement to support and therefore I would assume that Infopop are allowed to charge existing license holders for any support they require.

Hmmm - now the question is then - is mentioning support costs to existing license holders, and charging them, for something that was clearly not in existace previously in breach of the agreement?
I would be grateful of an official statement on this from Infopop.
Cheers.

I don't see how it can be a breach of the agreement. The support payment is for a new service and is nothing to do with the licensing of the software in the past, present or future. Presumably you could pay for the support without owning WWWThreads if you really chose to.
We as existing owners are being offered a new service and we have the option to purchase that service. In the past Rick has provided his time for free but he has not guaranteed to either solve our problems or to even attempt to. As far as I understand it, the new service contract would force Infopop to do both of those.
I think that you might be grasping at straws a bit here.
