I'd like to install two boards in the same database, so that I can test the hacks or changes in one board, and when they are ready, I can move them to the other board.
Because when I have tried some changes, it gives me an error or something, then the visitors cannot post. I just don't want to cause an inconvenience for them.

How can I install two boards in the same dbase ?

Thank you.

Install the second one in a different folder and use the info from the db and change the paths to reflect the new folder.

I installed the second board in a different folder, like you suggested me, and I also changed the paths.

However, the forums are the same!
http://arcleague.com/tenarc
http://arcleague.com/forums

When I went to the url:
http://arcleague.com/tenarc/createtable.php
it gives me an error.

I don't know if I have to change the cratetable.php
in someway.

Ouch!!! no, you shouldn't run createtable.php . You don't need to create tables, since the database is already there and working. Let's hope that attempting to run it didn't mess anything up.

You can just start running the second version of the boards from its new location.

I mean a new fresh copy. The other folder has exactly the same forums.

That's normal... the forums are tables in the database. Using the same database means that you'll be looking at the same forums regardless of the front-end you're using.

Is that not what you're trying to achieve? If you want two completely different installations, you can't do it with a single database, you would need two databases.
