Please can you answer a question: can I add more icons? Is there any limit to the number of icons I could use? I have seen animated icons. Can I upload these? Is there anywhere I can find icons in the two-tone format - unread and read shades? Are there any other two-tone sets out there?

long answer, the icons will need some work so that the gif's are read from a directory instead of added manually in one by one. []https://www.ubbdev.com/threads/php/images/icons/smile.gif[/]

I have a friend that developed something like this for ubb, I'll see if he has time to write something similar for threads. If someone else has time, please purseu it, as he is busy working on a portal system for ubb at the time.

The hardest part is editing addpost.php and editpost.php to add the new icons, as they are set up in an array there. newpost.php and newreply.php are (in comparison) fairly easy.

I meant to bug Scream about putting the icon array as a function so that it is identical in all 4 files.

I am going to release a quick (hard) version of this soon. Then I will try to emulate what VBulletin does once I learn more about how PHP works.
