Hi!
I found a thread on this subject posted earlier here, but the links we were supposed to follow didn't seem to work, so I'll take my chances here :-)
I have modified UBBT so that the categories and forums are multilingual as well (instead of just the menus) so what I'm basically stuck with now is - how can I let the visiting user chose a language before entering the page (or on the page for that matter) without having to log in?
Thanks in advance!

There was a hack that I saw way back on the Perl forum. But the links didn't work there. It had a graphic in the header, with different country flags...clicking the flag instantly changed the language.
The Perl forum doesn't seem to work anymore, but I never saw it on the PHP board. I believe it was posted by a lady... Eileen? Sounds like that's what you need.
I'd be interested in this hack as well. Have got lots of international visitors.

Heya...
Yeah, it said in a previous thread to look up her profile and follow the link from here, but like you said, it didn't work.
What I was planning on doing, was actually using the predefined variable $HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE that returns en-us,no;q=0.5, where no = norwegian, which is my preferred language.
But - still need to find out how to use this on the board, since there's nowhere to store the info. Create a new cookie, perhaps?

Pfew - finally got it working :-)
New users will now get 3 flags in the top right corner of the board, where they can click one of them which instantly changes the language (and reloads the page they're on in the newly selected language). This information is also being stored in a cookie, so that they will get the same language when they return (but can change it again if they should want to for some odd reason)
Also got the forums and forumdescriptions working on all 3 langauages, so it should be 100% multilingual now, not "just" the menus :-) (Including the menus and forum+descs for non-registered users.)
