Hi I am using ubb6 right now and thinking about upgrading to UBBT, Can extra fields be added under the subject? Here is what I talking about page lay out It's for an automotive board.

Yes but not by editing the templates only. []/forum/images/icons/frown.gif[/]
You would need to alter the w3t_Posts table and modify addpost, newpost, newreply and editpost php scripts to use the new fields. []/forum/images/icons/crazy.gif[/]
There is probably more than I can think of at this moment...

What if all I wanted to was to insert those fields into
the message area.

Do you mean like how clicking on the "Poll Start" link displays a java prompt box and then puts the information into the message area?

As far as adding the additional fields to the message field (B_Body) it's the only way to do it. Otherwise you will have to do the alter table and script editing to store the fields seperately. (a lot of work) []/forum/images/icons/wink.gif[/]
