Hi,

It would be an idea to be able to allow users to display the dates (and may be time) in their local format.

I still have to think whether 2/6/02 is the 2nd June or the 6th February. Of course it is the former

Whilst on this idea - perhaps another language file can be added English(British), and then rename the original English one to English(US), I realise that there are only minor differences, but then I would like to think that visitors to my board are given the choice between US & British versions of English, along with their correct date format if they are from the US. (Not 100% sure how other English speaking countries like Australia vary).

Ian.

And since we are at it, Im missing my zone way of displaying it:
[:"green"]// Which Time format to use
// short1 = 'MM/DD/YY 10:19 AM';
// short2 = 'DD/MM/YY 10:19 AM';
// short3 = 'YY/MM/DD 10:19 AM';
// short4 = 'YYYY/MM/DD 22:43"; [/]
[:"red"]// short5 = 'DD/MM/YY 22:43"; [/] (time format)

I made a short5 date format, too *lol*
Only have to document the changes...

Mine is DD.MM.YYYY 22:43 the german date format.

the format of short4 in the date function differs from the comment in editdisplay and in the config file btw.
Don't now which one of this three is the wanted one.

Actually, that might be the correct European format.
Its just that I rather the year being YY than YYYY as it takes less width in the columns.
