what is the proper usage for these? I'm trying to modify showflat.tmpl to show the first post, followed by individual links to the replies, followed by the actual replies. In the original template the line with the for-loop header is proceeded by //UBBTREMARK, the next line says echo <<<UBBTPRINT. the loop is closed by
UBBTPRINT;
} //UBBTREMARK
I want another loop preceding this one to generate the links to the replies. I follow the same scheme as the original for-loop and it breaks.

there is usually a bit of php code before the print statements, did you put your code before or after?
