We need to make Announcements from time to time.
I guess Nettomo has a pretty nice solution on his website, here's the link:

I'm talking about the thing with the RED colored fonts.

How can I integrate such a News "thing" into our UBBT 6.0.2 forum and be able to turn it on and off?
Could somebody help, please? I'm a Newbie and I don't have a clue. If you know how to do it: PLEASE explain it in some easy steps because I'm real dumb.

I'm not sure what you mena, since there are a number of fonts on the page you listed that are red, and I don't speak German.

There is a news posting script that came with Threads (in the addons folder). The read me that comes with it is easy enough to follow, but the script is pretty basic (I had to make a few changes to it to get it to display the text the way I wanted).

You could also set up a forum on your site that is read only for everyone except mods and admins and use it to make your announcements...
