For some unholy reason.. I cant find this after two hours of searching editdisplay.php..

If I switch the statements, it just switches the yes/no places in editdisplay.. for some reason it wont allow me to make "no" be the default..

(Little background on this.. We have many users who have "borderline" avatars and sigs(tastewise) the regular users arent bothered.. but some of the new ones we fear may be.. so we want a way to set the avatars and sigs to no by default, so they can only see them if the activate them..)

Instead of trying to edit the scripts which won't be of any use untill the new user edits their display prefs why not alter the user table so that the default value of U_ShowSigs is 'no' that way when a new user signs up it's already set to 'no' and they have to edit their display prefs to turn it on?

To do this use this sql command:

ALTER TABLE w3t_Users
CHANGE U_ShowSigs U_ShowSigs CHAR(3) DEFAULT 'no'


That should work.
