I tried to post as anonymous user in test forum to test something. Well... guess anonymous posting is disabled ( would be cool feature by the way : enable anonymous posting just in some of forums ), but the funny thing is what message i got: "We cannot proceed. You have been banned from making any new posts or sending private messages. The reason for this ban is: Soliciting users for free copies of WWWThreads Please use your back button to return to the previous page. " Could you change the text ?  Burns

You can enable anonymous users to post in select forums.... sinply edit the forum from the Admin menu... and set the guest group to read and write.
It sounds like maybe they have some IP address bans in place here...for people that may have had a dynamic IP address... or they banned a range of IP addresses.

heheh... yes, we have a bug here specific to just us. That one crops up occasionally and I am not quite sure how we can fix it. I think if I just empty the ban table, we can start fresh on it and everything should be ok...

I see, anonymous posting wansn't even disabled !
I could post while logged in as Burns,
but when i tried to post while not logged -
the strange message;
now i just posted 2 anonymous answers in test board

heheh.. I just got one using the quick reply to one of your anonymous posts: [] We cannot proceed. The username you are trying to post under has already registered and is being used by someone else. Please use your back button to return to the previous page.
 It worked ok with the regular reply page

This seems to be a bug with the quick reply hack, since JoshPet also got it on his own board. I'm going to check up on this soon and post a fix if I can come up with one.

I musta missed this before. Get version 1.8 of the quick reply mod (I think thats the latest). You CAN reply to an Anonymous posting. You can't quick reply as Anon... but the mod is setup not to even show you the box if you are not logged in. Working on my board anyway.
