Can we run version 6.0.2 and 6.1.0 at the same server/database/table?

There are database changes between the two versions so I think it's safe to say no they can't both run from the same database. The other problem is that unless licensed for it, you can only run one public copy of .threads for your domain. Are you lookking to "test" 6.1 before you update? Or actually just wanting to run two forums? I'm not sure what the point would be to have them connected to the same database. If testing then I would suggest creating a test database using a backup copy of your current one and using 6.1 with the test database untill your comfortable with it.

I am a registered one , and Im going to use only 1 copy.

Since the board is busy then I want to do a smooth transition, want to try the 6.1 first and check things out if everything is okay.

That's always a wise way to go about upgrading.

Create a new test database and import a copy of the older version's database into it. Set 6.1 up to use the test database and follow the install instructions. You should be fine.
