I cant see where i'm going wrong now tbh, i'm stumped! I'm including the ubbtnews.php in a html page, which i've renamed to be .php heres the link http://www.fordmondeo.org/news2.php
also, this is the error for those that dont want to click the link.
Warning: Failed opening 'usr/local/etc/httpd/ubbthreads/addons/ubbtnews.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:') in /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/news2.php on line 254
Set the variable section inside the ubbnews file. try your path as this mine uses home. However if you ftp in you will see the exact path you want when in that partiular directory.
hmmmmm, this is very bizarre i changed it back to my original settings, and now i dont get the error message, but i do a get a link saying "More News..." but it's still not displaying any news there from my forums though! and yes, i have changed it to FULL instaed of NONE in the variables
ok, i think i've cracked it firstly, i had to call the forum i wanted displayed by its ubb name, IE, UBB1 instead of general. Secondly, well, i'm still not quite sure what I did to get it running!
well I hope you used some variation of what I posted above. I am not too sure about our path as only you can be of that by FTPing into your site. However the URL to your board is what I posted above not what was being displayed before by your page which was a major problem. Second you are right you must change the forum you want to display posts from by its keyword. Glad to see you got it working.
