A user on my board was having a problem viewing the posts. So I logged in as myself ( the administrator) and selected the option " become this user" so that I could see what was going on. Ever since I did that, I can not log in as myself. I even tried to reset my password by selecting the lost password option, but I keep getting this error:
We can not proceed. Username/Password not found.

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Have you tried deleting all the cookies associated with your UBB.threads domain?

Hi Dave, could you explain exactly what steps I should take to delete the cookies? I am using cookies to track the users, and not sessions if that helps. All of this is new to me, and I am learning as I go, so pardon me if I am asking some basic questions.. (also I deleted the cookies on my hardrive if that is what you mean, and that did not help)..

This may seem like a silly question, but did you enter your username before you clicked the "I forgot my password" button?

Yes,
Either enter your username.... **OR** the email address you have in the profile of that username (for admin purposes) then click I forgot my password.

Wow you guys are great, I was really stressing over this whole thing, since I've had different problems all week. It was a cookie problem on my machine. Also, I did enter both my username AND email address for the forgot password, so that may have been part of the problem as well. I guess I should pay more attention Thanks again!

I'm having the same problems. I just went online with UBBT 6.11. It's not an upgrade, brand new install. The message board is running fine with my conversion of cyboards. Oh, I guess I should announce my new ubbt powered site. Fish-Tails, Home of the First Coast Angler! Comments on the site are most welcome. Anyway, I got my post nuke users db converted, no problem, but when my users try to retrieve the lost password the same error appears - user not found. The problem occurs even with someone who signed up via the ubbt and not a pn transfer. Cookies are not it because it's a brand new site with ubbt. I can change the users password manually then send them an email, then they can log in fine, but that's over 200 I have to do by hand. Since I'm not the only one with this problem then maybe there's something going on that no-one is aware of. Any ideas? I'll post this at UBB as well. My users were all excited about the new forums and now their bubble has bursted, as well as mine. edit I just received email telling me that my changing the password manually did not work. Help?!

When I wrote the conversion script for converting post nuke member database to ubbt, I was basing the script on 6.03. 6.11 had some db changes, adding U_LoginName , so even though the user name was in there, they had not been added to the U_LoginName field.
Thanks anyway.
