Hey JustDave, When a user on my forum replies to a news post on my index, and then clicks on the "view your post" link that's on the transition page that comes up right after a post is made, they get a 404 error.
I've disabled force public (had to to get the reply link to show up in the news posts on the index page) and I have the news forum set to read and reply only for registered users.
I also noticed that there is no link in the news posts on the index so that someone can view the replies (you have to go to the news forum).
Am I being stupid, or did I run into a bug?
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

The transition page is created by .threads itself and isn't related to anything IIP. I'm not sure why this would be happening. Does this happen with all users?
I put in a change to display the main post and it's replies not to long ago. If you download the latest zip and upload the new newspal.php script you should see the link changes in the news posts.

I'm uploading the latest files tonight. I realized after I posted that not running the latest and greatest might be part of the problem. Thanks!

I uploaded all files and went through the IIP config from scratch. I now have the view link, but I'm still gettting 404 errors on the transition page if I click on "View your post". It only happens when replying to a post from the index page (replying to a post in the Da News forum and clicking the "View your post" link on the transition page functions normally).
Could the error be path related? I have my Threads install in a directory under web root. My index.php file is in web root.

Also is there a way to make the "View" link in IIP the actual news post that the hyperlink is in, and not just a link to the entire news forum?

Ack... sorry... what your suggesting is what I thought I had done but apparently not... lol I'll get that fixed up and uploaded today. The view link was intended to take you to the actual post and not postlist.php

I changed it but only in 5.2 which I haven't released yet. It's just an update to make it work with .threads 6.2 for the most part. In your newspal.php script find the $viewPost variable and change it to this: $viewPost = "<a href="{$config[phpurl]}/showflat.php?Cat=$Cat&Board=$palKeyword&Number=$palNumber">View</a> $spacer "; That should do the trick for now.
